Now tell me, Lord, what will my condition be? qjI ly bnwrs miq BeI QorI ]1] rhwau ] (326-9)tajee lay banaaras mat bha-ee thoree. ||1|| rahaa-o. I left Benares - I had little common sense. ||1||Pause|| sgl jnmu isv purI gvwieAw ] (326-9)sagal janam siv puree gavaa-i-aa. I wasted my whole life in the city of Shiva; mrqI bwr mghir auiT AwieAw ]2] (326-10)martee baar maghar uth aa-i-aa. ||2|| at the time of my death, I moved to Magahar. ||2|| bhuqu brs qpu kIAw kwsI ] (326-10)bahut baras tap kee-aa kaasee. For many years, I practiced penance and intense meditation at Kaashi; mrnu BieAw mghr kI bwsI ]3] (326-10)maran bha-i-aa maghar kee baasee. ||3|| now that my time to die has come, I have come to dwell at Magahar! ||3|| kwsI mghr sm bIcwrI ] (326-11)kaasee maghar sam beechaaree. Kaashi and Magahar - I consider them the same. ECI Bgiq kYsy auqris pwrI ]4] (326-11)ochhee bhagat kaisay utras paaree. ||4|| With inadequate devotion, how can anyone swim across? ||4|| khu gur gj isv sBu ko jwnY ] (326-11)kaho gur gaj siv sabh ko jaanai. Says Kabeer, the Guru and Ganaysha and Shiva all know muAw kbIru rmq sRI rwmY ]5]15] (326-12)mu-aa kabeer ramat saree raamai. ||5||15|| that Kabeer died chanting the Lord's Name. ||5||15|| gauVI kbIr jI ] (326-12)ga-orhee kabeer jee. Gauree, Kabeer Jee: coAw cMdn mrdn AMgw ] (326-12)cho-aa chandan mardan angaa. You may anoint your limbs with sandalwood oil, so qnu jlY kwT kY sMgw ]1] (326-12)so tan jalai kaath kai sangaa. ||1|| but in the end, that body will be burned with the firewood. ||1|| iesu qn Dn kI kvn bfweI ] (326-13)is tan Dhan kee kavan badaa-ee. Why should anyone take pride in this body or wealth? Drin prY aurvwir n jweI ]1] rhwau ] (326-13)Dharan parai urvaar na jaa-ee. ||1|| rahaa-o. They shall end up lying on the ground; they shall not go along with you to the world beyond. ||1||Pause|| rwiq ij sovih idn krih kwm ] (326-14)raat je soveh din karahi kaam. They sleep by night and work during the day, ieku iKnu lyih n hir ko nwm ]2] (326-14)ik khin layhi na har ko naam. ||2|| but they do not chant the Lord's Name, even for an instant. ||2|| hwiQ q for muiK KwieE qMbor ] (326-14)haath ta dor mukh khaa-i-o tambor. They hold the string of the kite in their hands, and chew betel leaves in their mouths, mrqI bwr kis bwiDE cor ]3] (326-15)martee baar kas baaDhi-o chor. ||3|| but at the time of death, they shall be tied up tight, like thieves. ||3|| gurmiq ris ris hir gun gwvY ] (326-15)gurmat ras ras har gun gaavai. Through the Guru's Teachings, and immersed in His Love, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. rwmY rwm rmq suKu pwvY ]4] (326-15)raamai raam ramat sukh paavai. ||4|| Chant the Name of the Lord, Raam, Raam, and find peace. ||4|| ikrpw kir kY nwmu idRVweI ] (326-16)kirpaa kar kai naam darirhaa-ee. In His Mercy, He implants the Naam within us; hir hir bwsu sugMD bsweI ]5] (326-16)har har baas suganDh basaa-ee. ||5|| inhale deeply the sweet aroma and fragrance of the Lord, Har, Har. ||5|| khq kbIr cyiq ry AMDw ] (326-16)kahat kabeer chayt ray anDhaa. Says Kabeer, remember Him, you blind fool! siq rwmu JUTw sBu DMDw ]6]16] (326-17)sat raam jhoothaa sabh DhanDhaa. ||6||16|| The Lord is True; all worldly affairs are false. ||6||16|| gauVI kbIr jI iqpdy cwrquky ] (326-17)ga-orhee kabeer jee tipday chaartukay. Gauree, Kabeer Jee, Ti-Padas And Chau-Tukas: jm qy aulit Bey hY rwm ] (326-17)jam tay ulat bha-ay hai raam. I have turned away from death and turned to the Lord. duK ibnsy suK kIE ibsrwm ] (326-18)dukh binsay sukh kee-o bisraam. Pain has been eliminated, and I dwell in peac and comfort. bYrI aulit Bey hY mIqw ] (326-18)bairee ulat bha-ay hai meetaa. My enemies have been transformed into friends. swkq aulit sujn Bey cIqw ]1] (326-18)saakat ulat sujan bha-ay cheetaa. ||1|| The faithless cynics have been transformed into good-hearted people. ||1|| Ab moih srb kusl kir mwinAw ] (326-19)ab mohi sarab kusal kar maani-aa. Now, I feel that everything brings me peace. sWiq BeI jb goibdu jwinAw ]1] rhwau ] (326-19)saaNt bha-ee jab gobid jaani-aa. ||1|| rahaa-o.
