Awpy BgqI lwieEnu gur sbid nIswxy ] (1088-5)aapay bhagtee laa-i-on gur sabad neesaanay. He Himself links them to devotional worship; they bear the Insignia of the Guru's Shabad. snmuK sdw sohxy scY dir jwxy ] (1088-5)sanmukh sadaa sohnay sachai dar jaanay. Those who turn towards the Guru, as sunmukh, are beautiful. They are famous in the Court of the True Lord. AYQY EQY mukiq hY ijn rwm pCwxy ] (1088-6)aithai othai mukat hai jin raam pachhaanay. In this world, and in the world hereafter, they are liberated; they realize the Lord. DMnu DMnu sy jn ijn hir syivAw iqn hau kurbwxy ]4] (1088-6)Dhan Dhan say jan jin har sayvi-aa tin ha-o kurbaanay. ||4|| Blessed, blessed are those humble beings who serve the Lord. One who realizes his own self, is blessed with the treasure of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ikrpw kir kY AwpxI gur sbid imlwieAw ] (1088-10)kirpaa kar kai aapnee gur sabad milaa-i-aa. Granting His Mercy, the Guru merges him in the Word of His Shabad. gur kI bwxI inrmlI hir rsu pIAwieAw ] (1088-10)gur kee banee nirmalee har ras pee-aa-i-aa. The Word of the Guru's Bani is immaculate and pure; through it, one drinks in the sublime essence of the Lord. hir rsu ijnI cwiKAw An rs Twik rhwieAw ] (1088-11)har ras jinee chaakhi-aa an ras thaak rahaa-i-aa. Those who taste the sublime essence of the Lord, forsake other flavors. hir rsu pI sdw iqRpiq Bey iPir iqRsnw BuK gvwieAw ]5] (1088-11)har ras pee sadaa taripat bha-ay fir tarisnaa bhukh gavaa-i-aa. ||5|| Drinking in the sublime essence of the Lord, they remain satisfied forever; their hunger and thirst are quenched. ||5|| sloku mÚ 3 ] (1088-12)salok mehlaa 3. Her Husband Lord is pleased, and He enjoys His bride; the soul-bride adorns her heart with the Naam, the Name of the Lord. nwnk Dn AwgY KVI soBwvMqI nwir ]1] (1088-12)naanak Dhan aagai kharhee sobhaavantee naar. ||1|| O Nanak, that bride who stands before Him, is the most noble and respected woman. ||1|| mÚ 1 ] (1088-13)mehlaa 1. First Mehl: ssurY pyeIAY kMq kI kMqu AgMmu AQwhu ] (1088-13)sasurai pay-ee-ai kant kee kant agamm athaahu. In her father-in-law's home hereafter, and in her parents' home in this world, she belongs to her Husband Lord. Her Husband is inaccessible and unfathomable. nwnk DMnu suohwgxI jo Bwvih vyprvwh ]2] (1088-13)naanak Dhan sohaaganee jo bhaaveh vayparvaah. ||2|| O Nanak, she is the happy soul-bride, who is pleasing to her carefree, independent Lord. ||2|| pauVI ] (1088-14)pa-orhee. Pauree: qKiq rwjw so bhY ij qKqY lwiek hoeI ] (1088-14)takhat raajaa so bahai je takh-tai laa-ik ho-ee. That king sits upon the throne, who is worthy of that throne. ijnI scu pCwixAw scu rwjy syeI ] (1088-14)jinee sach pachhaani-aa sach raajay say-ee. Those who realize the True Lord, they alone are the true kings. eyih BUpiq rwjy n AwKIAih dUjY Bwie duKu hoeI ] (1088-15)ayhi bhoopat raajay na aakhee-ahi doojai bhaa-ay dukh ho-ee. These mere earthly rulers are not called kings; in the love of duality, they suffer. kIqw ikAw swlwhIAY ijsu jwdy iblm n hoeI ] (1088-15)keetaa ki-aa salaahee-ai jis jaaday bilam na ho-ee. Why should someone praise someone else who is also created? They depart in no time at all. inhclu scw eyku hY gurmuiK bUJY su inhclu hoeI ]6] (1088-16)nihchal sachaa ayk hai gurmukh boojhai so nihchal ho-ee. ||6|| The One True Lord is eternal and imperishable. One who, as Gurmukh, understands becomes eternal as well. ||6|| sloku mÚ 3 ] (1088-17)salok mehlaa 3. Shalok, Third Mehl: sBnw kw ipru eyku hY ipr ibnu KwlI nwih ] (1088-17)sabhnaa kaa pir ayk hai pir bin khaalee naahi. The One Lord is the Husband of all. No one is without the Husband Lord. nwnk sy sohwgxI ij siqgur mwih smwih ]1] (1088-17)naanak say sohaaganee je satgur maahi samaahi. ||1|| O Nanak, they are the pure soul-brides, who merge in the True Guru. ||1|| mÚ 3 ] (1088-18)mehlaa 3. Third Mehl: mn ky AiDk qrMg ikau dir swihb CutIAY ] (1088-18)man kay aDhik tarang ki-o dar saahib chhutee-ai. The mind is churning with so many waves of desire. Be absorbed in the Lord's True Love, and imbued with the deep color of the Lord's Infinite Love. nwnk gur prswdI CutIAY jy icqu lgY sic ]2] (1088-19)naanak gur parsaadee chhutee-ai jay chit lagai sach. ||2|| O Nanak, by Guru's Grace, one is emancipated, if the consciousness is attached to the True Lord. ||2|| pauVI ] (1088-19)pa-orhee.
